![]() THERE IS A GREAT DEAL OF EXCITEMENT in Sapsuckerville. We've had a new arrival in the form of a remarkable guitar, made specifically for Nikki by the talented Madison, WI-based luthier, Todd Cambio, of Fraulini Guitars. The guitar is an exacting replica of the 12 string played by Lydia Mendoza, the undisputed "Queen of Tejano Music." Todd did an incredible amount of sleuthing before he even began to draw plans. It's a pretty interesting story, and you can read all about it on the Fraulini Guitars blog. Below are a couple of videos of Nikki playing the new guitar. (Sound quality is as good as we could get it for a late-night living-room session!) WE HAVE A LOT MORE NEWS. Too much for this post. Top of the list is that we have been writing a lot of new material and we're excited to share it with the world. We would like to go back into the studio in November/December, and we're planning an extended tour in January (with Jack Grelle) through St. Louis, Louisville, Asheville, and....? For now, stay tuned to our Calendar page to keep up with our summer festivals and concerts. Next up, MBOTMA and Larryfest.
