![]() WHERE DOES THE MAGIC OF RADIO COME FROM? When we perform live in the studio, it feels somehow more relaxed and intimate than just about any other performance. There's something about the quiet acoustics and cozy ambiance of a radio studio and the rich, warm sound of the headphones. Some part of your brain registers that there's an invisible audience out there somewhere... but the best studio performances capture the gemütlichkeit of the studio. We thought you might like to check out a couple recent radio interviews Hundred Proof Fountain is a show on Louisville's ARTxFM Radio, hosted by Joel Deckard and Johanna Sims. They put us on the show while we were touring, and we had a great time singing and talking. You can hear the entire program by clicking here. Can you tell that we were all playing music until about 4 a.m. the night before? More recently, we were invited onto Charlie Knower's radio show, Driftless Weekend, right here on our own local community radio station, WDRT. You can check out that interview by clicking here.

![]() HOW LUCKY CAN TWO FOLKS BE? Thank you, thank you, and thank you again for the wonderful time at the CD release party in Viroqua. We were surrounded by friends and strangers with friendly faces and we are still glowing with the Kickapoo love we received. We know that some of you were a little frustrated by the sound. It is a tough room, and there were some problems with the sound system. Sorry about that. For us, the wonderful atmosphere created by Dani Lind and the rest of the crew at the Rooted Spoon/Drinkery more than made up for any glitches. Special thanks to Andreas Transo and Black Cat for performing, Carl Schlecht for MCing, Phil Parhamovich for his magic on the CD, and Jim Luhning for capturing it all on film. We were also delighted that Wisco Pop launched its Kickstarter campaign that night. You can contribute by clicking right here. (If we missed anyone else here, please give a holler. We are so grateful for all the support.) Most of all, a big thanks to all of you wonderful people who came out to celebrate with us. If you missed the show, you can catch us in January back home after the tour. We're working on making the CD available here in town, and we will post that information as soon as we finalize the details. We will be leaving Viroqua early Wednesday morning, under the light of the full moon. We will try to document the tour right here on the blog. Merry Christmas everyone! Love from Joe and Nikki
